Marinus Jan received this decoration on Friday, April 28, 2006 for his many voluntary work. He was a board member of the Zierikzee Red Cross department for 32 years, and an elder for 15 years the Chr. Ref. Church of Zierikzee and 4 years of deacons in the Geref. Church of Zierikzee. The application was also submitted by Zeeuwland, his former employer where he had been employed for 30 years. It has also been mentioned that my father has been on the board of the RPF for 28 years, now CU as treasurer and for decades a gymnast of the Gym Association Rust-Roest, several dozen years as a volunteer in the National Reserve. Nice detail about this man is his variety of activities. This year he hopes for the 50th time to participate in the Zierikzeesche Evening Four Days! |
